Schrey & Veit – Solutions for Silence
Engineered in Germany - made in Germany – installed worldwide.
With the mission to make the world more quiet, Schrey & Veit was established in 1994 and focuses on developing and providing solutions for noise reduction through tuned dampers for railways and other applications.
The traditional family-owned company is the world market leader for various solutions for silence. The main products are rail damper systems that are highly effective against noise and corrugation, wheel damper systems for high-speed trains and trams as well as bridge dampers.
The S&V dampers are not glued to the rail, completely maintenance free, easily removable, fire-resistant and adjustable to all rail profiles worldwide. They are homologated for many train and metro networks around the globe. The company invests heavily in research and development and offers detailed installation planning, engineering and full-service packages worldwide.

Rail Damper
The rail damper is an innovative solution that operates on the basis of a mass spring system to reduce rail noise. The damper combats the vibration levels in the rail generated when trains pass each to reduce the noise generate. The rail damper is specially adapted for each common rail type ensuring full compatibility for the best results.
Wheel Damper
At railways, the audible is almost exclusively emitted by wheels and rails. Here, the wheels are vibrating in their specific resonances. Schrey & Veit wheel dampers VICON RASA are fixed to those areas of the wheels, which are vibrating with the highest magnitude. This is considerable reducing the noise already at its source.
ShimLift
ShimLift is a height-adjustable rail fastening system for improved track quality and reduced maintenance costs.
